The Massachusetts Appeals Court will hold a special sitting on January 15, 2009 at the Plymouth Superior Court, located at 52 Obery St., Plymouth. Beginning at 9:30 a.m., a panel of three appellate judges (Chief Justice Phillip Rapoza and Justices Fernande Duffly and Cynthia Cohen) will hear oral arguments on several cases involving both criminal and civil appeals, many with local connections. This sitting is just one of a number of monthly sessions planned to take place outside of Boston, where the Court ordinarily sits.
On behalf of the Appeals Court, I would like to extend an invitation to the local bar members to attend and observe the sitting on that day. Please feel free to pass this information along to your membership.
